After the war Capt. Holt located in Woodstock, Shenandoah county to engage in the practice of law, and on November 29, 1866, a little more than a year alter the close of the war, he married there to Miss Elizabeth Heller, who, with one son, Mr. Frank T. Holt, of this city, survives him. Their only other child, Miss Grace, died while she was still a student of the Mary Baldwin Seminary.
