Mary Lynn (Grenzer) Schomisch, 71, of Neenah, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Theda Clarke Regional Medical Center in Neenah. She was born October 6, 1945, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI, daughter of the late John and Ruth (Schmitz) Grenzer.

In 1964, Mary graduated from Chilton High School. She continued her education at the Minnesota School of Radiology. After earning her degree, she returned to Chilton, WI where she worked in radiology at Calumet Memorial Hospital.

On January 2, 1971, Mary was united in marriage to Joseph Schomisch at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chilton, WI. Joseph preceded her in death on August 23, 2015. Joseph and Mary had three children and three grandchildren. Children: Shelly (Bill) Tyson, Edward Schomisch and Darcy Schomisch; and her grandchildren: Megan Tyson, Dylan Tyson and Gavin Tyson.

Mary is further survived by three sisters: Barbara (Lon) Schroeder, Joan (Michael) Slominski, Marguerite (Kurt) Myers; two brothers: Charles (Marlene) Grenzer, and Kenneth Grenzer; a brother-in-law: Robert Suttner; and two sisters-in-law: Jeanne Kuhn, and Jan Schomisch.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Schomisch; her parents: John and Ruth Grenzer; a sister: Carol Suttner; two sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Grenzer, and Laurie (Nachtwey-Schomisch) Duffield; three brothers-in-law: Dan Kuhn, Jerome Schomisch, and John Schomisch.

Mary’s family would like to thank the entire staff at Atrium Post Acute Care of Neenah for the many years of compassionate care. Mary is now at peace and rests in the arms of our Lord.

Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W Main St) in Chilton on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 4:30pm until 6:00pm. A memorial service will take place at 6:00 pm.
