Dan was born March 27, 1967, son of Dennis and Margaret (Judge) Graettinger. He graduated from St. Peter High School in Minnesota, class of 1985. Dan worked with Discovery Corps for over 10 years. He was devoted to his Christian life, and was especially close with his family and friends. Dan was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs. He will be greatly missed.
Survived by his loving parents of Rockford; brothers, Timothy (Caroline) Graettinger of Canonsburg, PA and Thomas Graettinger of Boise, ID; sister, Martha (Patrick) Michelson of Bloomington, IN; nephew, Peter Michelson; many aunts , uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by his grandparents; and sister, Jane.
Funeral service was held Thursday, April 12, at Forest Hills Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Greg Norwine officiating. Private family burial will take place on Friday in Oakwood Cemtery, Dixon, IL. Memorials may be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Dan’s memory.
