(1926 - 2012)
Delores Deubler, 86, of Manitowoc past away after a long fight at Bay Care Hospital in Green Bay on the 17th of October, 2012, surrounded by her family.
Delores was born in Manitowoc on August 26, 1926 to the late Louis and Alma Stradal. She was raised in Branch, Wisconsin where her parents had a farm. The family moved to Manitowoc and Delores attended Woodrow Wilson Junior High and Lincoln High School.
Right after high school, she went to work at the Manitowoc City Hall where she was employed until her retirement. She married her high school sweetheart, Chester Deubler in 1946 and they enjoyed 66 years of marriage together.
Delores enjoyed traveling in her younger years, and later on loved to read anything she could get her hands on. She loved to go out to eat with her husband "Bud" (Chester) to Green Street and Nibby's and with some of her "City Hall" friends to many different restaurants. She cheered on the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. If there was a gambling trip, she would be the first one to sign up for the bus. Delores enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up and loved to hear about all of their activities.
Delores is survived by her husband Chester of 66 years, daughter Pam (Randy) Oehldrich, son Peter (Jennifer) Deubler, sister Elaine (Lester) Deubler, grandchildren Grace and Luke Deubler, nieces Barbara (Page) Parker, Jean Delmore, nephews David (Tammy) Deubler, Robert (Ellie) Deubler, Lynne (Mary Jo) Deubler, cousins, friends, and her "special group of friends from City Hall".
A celebration of Delores' life will be held on the 19th of October at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 So. 14th Street in Manitowoc. A time of visitation and support will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a service to follow.
