ALBIN PETERSON OF WATERSMEET DIES
Funeral of Pioneer Resident To Be Held on Wednesday
Watersmeet -- Albin Peterson, 78, a pioneer resident, died at St. Mary's hospital in Milwaukee Sunday, May 13, where he had been a patient for a week. He had been in failing health for two years.
Mr. Peterson was born in Sweden June 13, 1866. He came to Watersmeet 60 years ago. He married Caroline Long in 1901. He was in business for several years and later worked for the Chicago and Northwestern railroad, and had been a pensioner from the company for several years. A few weeks ago he went to Milwaukee to visit a daughter, Mrs. John Palley.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline, three sons, six daughters and 14 grandchildren. The sons and daughters are: Ray of Minneapolis; Mrs. George Tisdale, (Irene), of Wauwautosa; Mrs. Arthur Jirash, (Sadie), of Los Angeles; Irwin of Milwaukee; Rudolph of Pearl Harbor; Mrs. Robert Gear, (Margaret), of Menasha; Mrs. Ruby Hanson of Watersmeet; Mrs. Joseph McGinty, (Lillian), of Ewen; Mrs. Palley, (June), of Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Union Congregational church with the Masonic lodge in charge. Interment will be in the Watersmeet cemetery. The deceased was a member of the Masonic lodge for many years.
