Niki married James Troy Blacklock, her high school sweetheart, 5 August 1962. No one was surprised when they settled in the Valley. For the most part, the families that settled there in the early days are the families who live there now. She died at home there, where it is remote; lush and quiet.
She was educated at Weeks School, Fulton High School and the University of Missouri - Columbia She was a highly respected and well loved teacher of special education at St. Joseph Central High School, Jefferson City High School, and Fulton High School. She worked alongside her husband for 30 years in their business, the Blacklock Auction Business. She enjoyed collecting, buying and selling antiques.
Niki is survived by her husband, Jim; son Kelly Blacklock, son Kurt Blacklock, and daughter Kerry Blacklock Ecton; her brother, Gary Windsor, her sister Kay Windsor Davis, and her sister Jeanette Windsor Cox. She was a member of the Mineola Baptist Church.
