Beatrice Allen Kirkland, 89, of Loudon, died Friday, March 23, 2001. A member of First Baptist Church, Loudon, she was preceded in death by her husband, Riley Ernest Kirkland; parents, T.L. and Rebecca Ellis Allen; brothers, Claude, Amos, Alonzo, elmer and Ray Allen; sisters, Frona Woody, Ada Plemons, Geneva Keller and Eugnia Allen.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jack Shope; grandsons and wives, Ernie Shope of Loudon, Ronald and Rachel Shope of Raleigh, N.C., James and Conny Shope of Altus, Okla.; granddaughter and husband, Judy and Brian Brewster of Clarksville; brother and sister-in-law, Sanford Osborne and Estelle Allen of Loudon; sister-in-law, Lucy North of Philadelphia.
Funeral service was 7:30 p.m. Saturday in McGill-Karnes Chapel with Dr. Charles Earl and Rev. Curt Franklin officiating. Interment was 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Loudon County Memorial Gardens. The family received friends 6-7:30 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at McGill-Karnes Funeral Homme in Loudon.
