Mary Louise “Mary Lou” Stafford, 83 of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away April 26, 2018 at Adrian Manor in Adrian, Missouri. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Stafford Family Cemetery in Beaver Township, near Bradleyville, Missouri with Pastor Ron Dunlap officiating. There is no visitation. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Stafford Family Cemetery.

Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Stafford was born June 10 1934 in Stone County Missouri the oldest child of Glen and Dollie (Blair) Letts she departed this life April 26 2018 in Adrian Manor Adrian MO following a lengthy illness.

Mary Lou was united in marriage to Lawrence Stafford on May 29 1954 in Bradleyville MO. The early years of their marriage were spent in Taney County Missouri on the family farm and Kansas City MO. In 1968 they moved to Peculiar MO and in 1972 settled in Harrisonville MO, where they raised quarter horses (Mary Lou was an encyclopedia of knowledge regarding blood lines relating to theAQHA) and Beef Master cattle. Lawrence and Mary Lou enjoyed many adventures and endeavors through a long marriage and partnership until his death in 2008.

Mary Lou was baptized at an early age and proudly proclaimed Jesus has her Lord and Savior. She loved sharing her faith with others and it was a comfort to her throughout her life.

Mary Lou loved reading and continuing to learn throughout her life, watching birds, and recipes she was a wonderful cook and always made sure everyone who came to her home was welcome and well fed. In addition to her own family she was a rock for entire family always providing advice and guidance to friends, relatives, and neighbors. She cared deeply about others as was evidenced by the calls, cards, and support she shared with others.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, her parents Glen & Dollie Letts, two grandsons Lawrence Levon Stafford III & Landon Levon Stafford two sisters Gladys Allman & Ruthie Houston, sister in laws Ruby Bonner, Ellen Ballay, Johnnie Lillard and brother in law Joe Stafford.

She is survived by her five children, Son Von Stafford and wife Carrie of Harrisonville MO, Daughter Patti Wyman of Butler MO, Daughter Deidre Camerer and husband Ron of Adrian, MO Son Darrin Stafford and wife Carol of Harrisonville MO Daughter Holly Stark and husband Doug of Peculiar MO. Thirteen Grand Children and Seventeen Great Grand Children. Brother Douglas ( Rosie ) Casey of Russelville AR, Sisters Corrine Payne Excelsior Springs MO, Brother Junior (Elisabeth) Letts Hopkinsville KY Sisters Charlene Jackson Crane MO, and Dorothy Davis Billings MO and sister in law Geraldine Stafford Bradleyville, MO.
