Douglas Edmond Casey, 91, of Dover, passed away, Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Legacy Heights Nursing Home. He was born August 14, 1926, in Magic Springs, AR to Charlie Lee and Dollie Blair Casey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Danny Keith Roberts; several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 75 years, Rosie Harris Casey; 5 children, Douglas Casey & wife Delena, Sue Roberts, Robert Casey & wife Darla, Chuck Casey & wife Laurie, Jack Casey & wife Cathy all of Dover; 10 grandchildren, Travis Casey, Todd Casey, Keith Roberts, Scott Roberts, Sarah Casey, Laura Stadler, Brandon Casey, Amanda LaRue, Christi Schultz, Evan Casey; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Charles Casey, Little Rock, Tommy Casey, Little Rock, Mary Jo Griffin, Snowball. Douglas joined the military in 1944 in the US Army. He proudly served his Country for 20 years. He faught with the 40th Infantry Division WW2, then Korea, Japan, Taiwan, France, Vietnam before retiring from Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX.

He opened a TV and CB Repair shop in Dover. Douglas was called to teach by the Lord in 1985. He taught several years at Lee’s Chapel Assembly of God, Round Rock, Moreland Assembly of God, River of Life church.

Funeral service will be 10am Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Russellville Family Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Mike Chisum officiating.

Burial will be in Phoenix Cemetery, Buck Mountain under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.

Active Pallbearers will be Travis Casey, Todd Casey, Joshua Casey, Evan Casey, Keith Roberts, Scott Roberts. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Dufford, John Thomas Casey, R. Dale Tennison, Roy Smith, and his grandchildren.
