Cassius is sitting in front and Lucian Burton is standing behind him. I am not sure which Lucian Burton he is, but I believe him to be Cassius' cousin, the son of Theona (Sullivan) and William Howard Burton:

Seated: William and Martha Jane.

His obituary from the Times Journal at Russell Springs gave more information about his death. It is believed by some family members that he was drug from his car and shot by someone else. The truth is unknown as it was ruled suicide and no further investigation was made.
