Mrs. Charlotte Davids, widow of the late John E Davids, passed away at her home on West Center Street About 9 o'clock this morning, after an illness of several months duration. Apoplexy was the immediate cause of death. She was past 72 years of age.
The deceased had spent the greater part of her life in Marion, having removed here with her parents when but a child. At the time of death she resided with her daughter, Mrs. G.T. Emerson. She was a faithful and earnest worker in the Presbyterian Church. A large circle of friend will mourn with the family in their loss.
Of the immediate members of the family,four sons and two daughters survive, namely Mrs. G..T. Emerson, Miss Jennie M Davids of this city Messers. W.B., H.L., who reside in the west, and Lewis.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
