Frank Lovecchio, age 88, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Yvonne Delcuze Lovecchio and his adoring children, Sharyn L. Habeney, Mary Ann L. (Harry) Bailey, Deborah Lovecchio, Frank Lovecchio IV and the late Yvette J. Lovecchio. 14 grandchildren and one deceased grandchild and 16 adorable great grandchildren.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Ann (Mae) Fedele Lovecchio and his only brother Matteo (Ruby) Lovecchio, brother-in-law of Lois D. Quigley (late Justin) and Connie D. (Theo) Miestchovich.
Frank was a lifelong resident of New Orleans and Metairie, where he was a parishioner of St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church.
He was a World War II Army veteran, serving valiantly in the Phillipine Theater.
Frank was a member of the American Legion Metairie Post #175. He was also a member of the Louisiana Carpenters Union.
His passion was fishing. Many thanks to Dionna Bethune, Darlene Estrade, Lottie Bolden and Mitzi Webber for all the care they gave Mr. Frank.
He was a good son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and friend. We will all miss him dearly.
