On June 5, 1954 she was united in marriage to James Ninmer at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheboygan. In 1976 she and her husband Jim purchased Ninmer's Lanes. They operated the bar and bowling alleys together until March of 1997 when Jim preceded her in death. Lois continued to operate Ninmer's Lanes until its closing in 2000. During this time, Lois was also a dedicated employee of Tecumseh Products, New Holstein. She worked there from 1965 until her retirement in 2007. Lois loved being a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Holstein.
Survivors include her children: Bonnie (David) Koenig, New Holstein, Wendy (Dennis) Klinke, Sheboygan, Scott (Cindi) Ninmer, Kiel; her grandchildren: Tara (Randy) Roethle and their children, Chloe & Sophie Roethle, Shawn (Nicole) Klinke and their children, Austin Klinke & Alleah Tercher, April (David) Sundquist and Bridget Ninmer. Lois is further survived by a brother, Kenneth (Joyce) Holzer, sisters-in-law: Janet Holzer & Diane (Delano) Goodrich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Lillian (Walter) Steinhaus and a brother, Carl Holzer.
Funeral services for Lois will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 5:00pm at Zion Lutheran Church (1702 Van Buren St. New Holstein) with Pastor Azor Cigelske officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday from 3:00pm until the time of services at 5:00pm. Cremation has taken place and burial will follow at Union Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name.
