FREED, GENEVA B. FLINT Age 92, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, May 18, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, May 21, 2018 at the Living Word Church of God, 6325 Calkins Road, Flint, Michigan with Pastor Timothy McKenzie officiating. Burial follows at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation 4 pm to 7 pm Sunday at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Geneva was born in Flint, Michigan on March 2, 1926 the daughter of the late Edward and Grace Dyer. She was a lifelong member of the Church of God. Geneva loved to work with her hands. She also loved to sing and to give hugs. Surviving are: children, Linda Stepulkoski, Judy (Charles) Gonyea, Gloria (Greg) Jerke, Nancy (Randy) Hendrick and Duane Freed; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Leah Piper. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Dale Freed and by many sisters and brothers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
