Charlotte Maxine Auton 74 of Bluewell, WV passed away on May 19, 2018 at Princeton Health Care after a long illness. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bluewell, WV. She was a former cashier at Wardens Market in Bluewell. She enjoyed crochet needle work and loved BINGO.
She was born on November 23, 1943 in Rocky Gap, VA to the late Walter James Akers (1914-Deceased) and the late Elsie Marie Gadd-Akers (1922-1994). She was proceeded death by her husband, Robert Vance Auton (1947-2013); one brother, James J. Akers (Deceased); her twin sister, Cora M. Akers-Hager (1943-2017); and an infant sister, Mary Ann Akers (Deceased).
She leaves behind one son, Mikel Egnor & wife Sondra Egnor of Bluefield WV; a daughter, Rebecca Egnor-Banks & husband Johnny Banks of Elyria OH; grandsons, Clinton Gills & wife Brianne Gills of Wirtz VA, Brian Gills & wife Courtney Gills of Fort Campbell KY, Dalton Egnor & girlfriend Chelsea Hicks, Colton Egnor & girlfriend Katie Gilley, all of Bluefield, WV; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Gerald Akers & wife Shirley Akers, and Mark Akers & wife Linda Akers of Tazewell VA; and a sister, Shirley Akers-Bailey & husband Wayne Bailey of Bluefield, WV.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. James Milam and Rev. David Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.
