Aaron Jacobs, an old and respected citizen of Union Township, Cumberland County, died at his home near this city, June 16th, aged about 74 years. The funeral took place Saturday forenoon from his home under auspices of the Masonic Lodge of this city, of which he was the last surviving resident charter member, and the remains were laid at rest in Casey cemetery with Masonic ceremonies, Rev. C. W. Jacobs acting as chaplain.
The deceased leaves a wife, two daughters and one son to mourn their loss. Those who were present at the funeral services from a distance, W. McConnel and Mrs. Susdorf of Champaign County, Mrs. James Warren, Newton, who with the bereaved family and a large concourse of friends followed the remains to their last resting place and shed tears of endearment and kind memories over the grave.
