Mrs. Catherine Howard, wife of Wm. Howard of Lockport, died last Saturday night after an illness f only one week with typhoid fever. She was aged 27 years, 3 months, and I day, and leaves a family of five small children. Mrs. Howard had overworked herself in caring for sick members of her family and when they recovered the disease seized upon herm finding an easy prey.
The funeral occurred last Tuesday from the residence of Mr. Howard's father on First Street, and burial was in Green Grove Cemetery.
On Thursday morning Mr. Howard's little daughter Lisa died at the age of five years, and another child is very ill.
Much Sympathy is expressed for Mr. Howard in his severe affliction.
