Jean Peoples Applegate Griffin, 87, of Brick, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. Born in Newark, NJ to the late Robert Emmett Peoples Sr. and Gertrude Peoples, she lived there and for many years in Bay Head before moving to brick in 1986.
Jean was a retired registered nurse and worked for Marlboro State Psychiatric Hospital and later for Prudential Insurance in Iselin, NJ.
She was a member of Saint Paul's United Methodist Church in Bay Head, where she was active with the boutique.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Alonzo Douglas Applegate, in 1978; by her second husband, Steven W. Griffin, in 1988; and by her son, David Wayne Applegate
