Kramer
Aaron Kramer died Saturday morning at 8:50 at his home 10½ miles northeast of town. Cancer of the stomach was the cause of his death. He would have been 74 years old. Mr. Kramer was born May 27, 1828, in Bucks county, Pa. In 1855 he moved to Illinois, where he was married October 31, 1858, to Miss Anna Hillyer. In 1869 they came to Kansas and settled in Brown county on the farm they still occupy in the Bellview district. Of their eight children only four, all boys, survive the father. They are D. A. Kramer, of Washington county, E. A. Kramer, of Plainville, Rooks county, and J. A. Kramer and R. A. Kramer, both of Brown county. The funeral was held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Methodist church Rev. Mr. Brunner delivered the funeral sermon. Mr. Kramer was one of the well known old settlers. He was a member of the Baptist church for 30 years and was highly respected.

Albert Kramer, of Washington, Kans., came home on account of the death of his father, Aaron Kramer. Mr. Kramer has not been well all winter but a few days before he died he walked to the barn and seemed quite strong. Mrs. Kramer will go home with Albert for a short visit.

In Sep 2022 Member 47033251 (Mae) indicated that Aaron & Anna were married in 1855, so apparently the death notice is incorrect when it cites a marriage year of 1858.
