Mr. Rhodes, a Baptist preacher, came to Red Bluff as a book agent some six or seven weeks ago, traveling in his own conveyance. He stayed here two of three days, and left in company of J.Y. Freeman, traveling and camping with Mr. Freeman until they reached Janesville, Lassen county.
Mr. Rhodes stopped and remained until a few days ago, when he died with lung disease. He died at Jake Broadwell’s near Janesville. Who his relations are is not known. – Red Bluff Sentinel.
