Billie was last known to be living in Lynchburg, Missouri.



Billie Lee Bohannon, son of Claude W. And Veda G. Randolph Bohannon, was born October 11, 1937, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, January 2, 2003, in his home, near Lynchburg, Missouri, at the age of sixty-five years, two months, and twenty-two days.
On October 24, 1969, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Rae West, and together they shared the last thirty-three years.
His parents preceded him in death.
Billie is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie, of the home; a daughter, Barbara Bohannon, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sons, Billie Bohannon, and his wife, Laura, of Lynchburg, Missouri, William "Buck" Bohannon, and his wife, Telina, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Bryon Bohannon, and his wife, Regina, of Falcon, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Leach, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in Lebanon and was raised by his maternal grandmother, Edith Randolph in the Lebanon area. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army from November 1, 1955 until October 31, 1958, and then in the Army Reserves for a few years. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he returned to the Lebanon area, where he made his home. Billie had worked as a truck driver in the boat industry for many years, and had been employed by Appleby Boats, Richline Boat Company, Lowe Boats, and Landau Boat Company throughout the years.
Billie had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant View Church, near Lynchburg.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where he liked fishing and riding horses. He possessed a gift for story telling and enjoyed sharing tall tales with his family and friends. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Billie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.


Services were held January 5, 2003 at 2:00p.m. In the Holman-Howe Chapel. Burial followed in the Grange Hall Cemetery with Full Military Rites. Visitation was held January 4, 2003 from 7-8:30 in the Funeral Home.

A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be left at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, 320 S. Adams, Lebanon, Missouri, 65536.
