Betty I. Morris died June 15, 2018, at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home, Parkersburg. She was born February 18, 1925, in Folsom, WV, a daughter of the late Noah and Armeania (Trader) Edgell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Morris, one grandson, one great granddaughter, five brothers and six sisters. Betty was one of 13 children. She worked at a defense plant in Ohio during World War II, and also worked for St. Marys Hospital and Hazel Atlas Glass in Clarksburg. Later in life she became a homemaker who did a lot of house work and baby setting. She loved to garden, can vegetables and enjoyed quilt making. She is survived by her children Alice Kendall, Barbara Kuhn, Cheryl and Kenny Watson, Mary Ann and Dave Bailey, Thomas Jr. and Brenda Morris, Mark and Mary Morris, Timothy and Janet Morris, her German daughter Heike; one brother ;18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; three step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Sprout officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, June 18, 2018 at the funeral home.
