Rose Burke Meehan, is the daughter of John Burke and Mary Gallagher Burke.
Mary Gallagher is my great aunt, and sister to grandfather James Gallagher from County Donegal, Ireland. Making Rose my 1st cousin 1x removed.
Rose came to NY 1910 and went to her sister Mary Ann Tynan's Home.
My father Michael Gallagher came to NY in 1912 with his brother Edward Gallagher and they went to Rose Burke's place in NY.
Not sure when she married Patrick Meehan but after they were married they homesteaded in Charlo, Montana along with my father Mike and his other brother Frank.
Later Patrick and Rose moved to Butte, Montana but I don't know what year.
In Block 36, Lot 78 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Butte, the following are buried. Patrick Meehan, died 3-20-1938, Rose Meehan, Died 9-15-1954, Peter Meehan, died 4-29-1938, Baby Meehan, 3 hrs old died 8-4-1947 and Hugh Maguire, lived at 28 Woolman and died in a mine accident on 6-5-1923.
The 1920 Montana Federal Census shows Rose as age 23. They had also three boarders.
