Manitowoc - Elena Rosa Kronberg, age 94, a Manitowoc resident, died Monday, February 26, 2018 at North Ridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.
She was born on December 21, 1923 in Naples, Italy. Elena was employed at Allied Headquarters as a translator where she met her husband, Master Sergeant Edward C. Kronberg. They were married on April 28, 1946 in Caserta, Italy. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1996. Elena was a school teacher at St. Paul Catholic School, Manitowoc. She also owned and operated a resale shop in Manitowoc for many years. Her favorite hobby was playing bingo.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Ken Kronberg and his fiance Char Mrozinski, Gerald & Emma Kronberg, Dr. Steve & Dorothy Kronberg; four grandchildren: Edward, Christopher, Tracy, Rachel and three great grandchildren: Shayna, Ethan and John. Nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son and daughter-in-law: Ed and JoAnne Kronberg.
Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and a graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
