Son Of: Thomas Matthew and Sarah Elizabeth (Barclay) Carr. Husband Of: Margaret (maiden name unk.) Margaret was b. June 15, 1902 d. 12 May 1981, and is also buried at Fletcher Cemetery. One daughter married a Mr. Wise. Grover's nephew, Don Elrod, the grandson of Grover's sister, "Lou Ella (Carr) Elrod" wanted to grow up to be just like his Uncle Grover, whom he considered to be "a real cowboy". Grover and his wife Margaret worked for a period of time on the Waggoner Ranch in Wilbarger, Co., TX.

Cyril (Staff) -- Services for Grover [Cleveland] Carr, 77, of Cyril[, Oklahoma], who died [on] Saturday [25 Mar 1961] in his home, will be at 2 pm [on] Monday [27 Mar 1961] in the Cyril[, Oklahoma] First Baptist Church.

Rev. Johnny Meador, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in [the] Fletcher Cemetery under the direction of Dalton Funeral Home.

Mr. Carr was born [on] Nov[ember] 4, 1883 in Rising Star, Tex[as], and married Margaret Rigister [on] April 4, 1919 in Sulphur[, Oklahoma]. He farmed near Paducah, Tex[as] until his retirement in 1955 when he came to Cyril[, Oklahoma].

He is survived by his wife of the home; one daughter: Mrs. C. D. Wise [of] Cyril[, Oklahoma]; three sons: Loyal [Carr] and Charles B. Carr, both of Amarillo, Tex[as], and Pete Carr [of] Cyril[, Oklahoma]; one sister: Mrs. Blake Halse [of] Throckmorton, Tex[as]; one brother: Charles Carr [of] Portales, N[ew] M[exico]; and 10 grandchildren.
