Vernon E. Arnold, 72, of 688 Eastern Ave., died January 27, 1991, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born Aug. 25, 1918, in Washington C. H. to Cletus E. and Mabel Hicks Arnold.
Surviving are four children by a previous marriage to the former Mildred Temple; Erma Ward and Mrs. Robert (Veronia) Fox, both of Chillicothe, Cletus V. Arnold, Leesburg and Gary Arnold at home; a son, Robert E. Arnold, Sabina; three stepchildren; several grand-
children and step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Fred (Imogene) Davis; and a brother, Alvin L. Arnold, both of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Wanda Goldsberry; and a son, James Arnold.
Mr. Arnold was a former employee of the U. S. Shoe Corporation.
Funeral service will be 1 P.M. Thursday in the Ware Funeral Home with Harry Oyer officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ware's 5-9 P.M. Wednesday.
