Cletus E. Arnold, 79, 777 Eastern Ave., Chillicothe, died 8:25 p.m. Sunday at his home after an extended illness. Born August 16, 1899, in New Holland, he was the son of Milton and Martha Jane Arnold.
Mr. Arnold was retired from the U.S. Shoe Corporation. He was married March 30, 1917, to Mabel Hicks, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frederick (Imogene) Davis, Chillicothe; two sons, Vernon E. and Alvin L. Arnold, both of Chillicothe; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Arnold, Leesburg Rt. 2. A grandson, four sisters and five brothers preceded him in death.
Services were entrusted to Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
