GEORGE ALBERT ROBERTSON, 1885 - 1944

George A. Robertson, son of James Thomas and Lydia Celia Allen Robertson, was born on Friday, June 12, 1885 in Quincy, Adams County, Illinois and died there at his home on Saturday, February 29, 1944. His son, Charles E. Robertson is listed as the informant on his death certificate. He was married to Frances "Fannie" Jane Stark Wilson (Fannie had a prior marriage to a Charles S. Wilson when she was but 14 years old) on November 14, 1906 in Hannibal, Marion County, Missouri. On August 13, 1938 after 32 years of marriage, George and Fannie Robertson were divorced in the Adams County Chancery Court, case #8612, "Blue". (the "Blue" designation refers to the Box section in which the court case files are located. The boxes in each section are designated by different colored tags).
