Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 6, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, WI for Joseph V. Blanchette, 75, a former Two Rivers resident, currently residing in Crivitz, WI. He died Thursday evening, Nov. 2 at the Woodland Health Care Center, Brookfield, WI.

Military graveside services and burial followed at Knollwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Victor (Sadie Terriault) Blanchette was born Dec. 28, 1930 in Marinette, WI and attended school there.

He was a United States Navy veteran.

On July 25, 1963 he married Anna Marie Krueger in Manitowoc, WI. She preceded him in death on Oct. 17, 1985.

He was employed with Fisher Hamilton in Two Rivers for 32 years, retiring in 1982 and then moved to Crivitz. He was a member of the VFW Post 1248 of Two Rivers and a former member of the Two Rivers Eagles Club.

Four children survive. They are two sons: Kevin Blanchette and Bruce (Brenda) Blanchette and two daughters Mrs. Christopher (Renee) Willert and Lisa Lemberger, all of Two Rivers, WI.

a brother Richard Blanchette of Marinette, WI;
five sisters: Ethel LeBlanc of Wausaukee, WI; Mrs. Donald (Betty) Mullins of Marinette, WI; Shirley Konell of Two Rivers, WI; Janet Corey of Ingalls, MI and Lorraine Corey of Menominee, MI;
four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Gene (Jean) Krueger of Manitowoc, WI; Mrs. Don (Carol) Swoboda of Two Rivers, WI; Mrs. Mike (Gloria) Kronforst of Minneapolis, Minn. and Helen Krueger of Arizona and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy and a sister Pearl Tessmer.
