According to the April 25, 2007 The News-Sun Juan was a student at North Shore Academy an alternative school in Zion, Illinois. Juan was killed in an auto accident with his friend a 14 year old boy driving, his friend survived. Both had a Alcohal level of .09 and with marijuana in their system. Their car speeding at a high rate of speed left the ramp they were driving on and Juan was killed. His friend is now in a juvenial detention center waiting to be charged with Juan's death.
