A son, James Eugene was born 7 May 1832 in Allegany, New York.
The family moved to Ohio and in 1834 a girl was born, Julie Ann and 1839 ,Jane was born,1841 Laura, 1844 Evaline and then 1847, Hannah.
They then moved to Lime Creek Township. Washington, Iowa. And sadly in late 1854Joseph and 3 of their daughters ,Jane, Laura and Hannah, passed on. They are buried in the Taylor Cemetery, Washington County, Iowa.
