August 1942 – 60th Anniversary. Recently at Ashton Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Hunt observed their sixtieth Wedding anniversary with a family gathering at their home. Two sons, Enoch Arden Hunt of Ashton and George Everett Hunt of Idaho Falls and one daughter, Mrs. Dora Myrtle Tharpe of Boise were present. They also have eight grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren.

William Robert Hunt was born March 8, 1863, at Mont Rose, Mo., son of William and Priscilla Hunt. He spent his childhood in Missouri and engaged in farming until he came to Idaho in 1917. Until five years ago, when he retired, he managed the Teton county experiment farm.

His wife, Mrs. Minerva Florena Smith Hunt was born May 14, 1865, at Winston-Salem, S.C., a daughter of John and Nancy Ann Smith. She spent her girlhood in Missouri and on July 16, 1882, was married to Mr. Hunt. The ceremony was performed in the Methodist church at LaDue, Mo., by the Rev. Pingry. Mr. Hunt has been active member of the Methodist church all his life and Mrs. Hunt became a member at the age of 16.
