Minerva Florena Smith Hunt was born May 14, 1865, at Winston-Salem, South Carolina, a daughter of John and Nancy Ann Smith. She spent her girlhood in Missouri and on July 12, 1882, she married William Robert Hunt, a ceremony performed in the Methodist Church at LaDue, Missouri by the Rev. Pingry. In August 1942, in Ashton, Idaho, the Hunt's celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Neva entered into eternal life on March 4, 1957 in Boise, Idaho and was laid to rest there.
