Louise "Fran" Hibbard, age 96, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Laurel Grove Assisted Living.

Fran was born on January 29, 1922 in Manitowoc to the late Jerome and Lillian Schweigl Hibbard. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1939. Fran had been employed at Mirro Aluminum Goods / Newell Rubbermaid from where she retired as Communications Manager in 1982. In her youth, Fran was an avid equestrienne. She enjoyed reading, traveling, board games, playing cards, and sports. Fran particularly loved horse-back riding. She was a member of the Manitowoc Maritime Museum where she also volunteered for 17 years, the Bit & Spur Club, and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Manitowoc.

Survivors include Fran's three brothers, Lee Hibbard, Richard Hibbard, and Rodney (Nancy) Hibbard, all of Manitowoc; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Fran was preceded in death by her fiancé, Arlet Rusch; parents, Jerome and Lillian Hibbard; two brothers, Robert and Roland Hibbard; sister, Carole Reseburg; three sisters-in-law, Beverly Hibbard, Regina "Peg" Hibbard, and Donna Hibbard; and brother-in-law, Fred Reseburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate with entombment to take place at Knollwood Mausoleum. Following the funeral service, a luncheon for relatives and friends will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Fran's name.
