Berringer – Beryl Eudora, 97, of South Brookfield, passed away peacefully at Fisherman’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg on Saturday, June 30, 2018.

Born in South Brookfield, she was the daughter of the late Aden and Olive (Freeman) Berringer.

Beryl was a school teacher who taught for over thirty years in many schools throughout Nova Scotia as well as tutored many students during her retirement. She was a member of the South Brookfield United Baptist Church where she served in every capacity that was needed. She was also a member of the Women’s Missionary Society, the Women’s Institute of Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Teacher’s Union.

Beryl loved to drive and take nature walks. She was an avid reader and loved her pets. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by sister -in -law Gert Berringer and her nieces and nephews: Robert (Maria) Berringer, Sharon (Randy) Kerr, Carol Berringer (Jeff Siddons), Gordon (Cinzia) Berringer, Brenda (Jim) Seager, Kelly (Dale) Weyler Eva Berringer, Sandra Acker and Nancy (Tom) Demings. Great nieces and nephews Bobby Acker, Kara Acker, Thomas A. Demings, Matthew Demings, David Demings, Matthew Seager, Cindy Berringer, and great great nieces and nephews Caleb and Madyson Demings, Spencer Demings, Kaylee Acker and Caylynn Demings.

She was predeceased by her sister Ruth Butler, her brothers Edward and George and her great great niece Carol Ruthanne Acker.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 4, 2018 from 7 until 9 p.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in South Brookfield United Baptist Church. Pastor Royce Getson officiating. Burial will be in South Brookfield Community Cemetery.
