Anna Grever, age 93, of Omro, died Monday, July 23, 2018, at Evergreen Manor in Oshkosh. She was born March 7, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois to the late William and Anna (Ferch) Voelker. Anna was a 1942 graduate of Lake View High School in Chicago where she was the vice-president of her class. She was a member of the Chicago Town Club AAU Synchronized Swim Team and along with her sister Rosemarie was a 1949 National Duet Champion. Anna and Rosemarie were invited to perform several exhibitions including one in Bermuda in 1949. In 1951 she married Raymond Meeks and he preceded her in death in 1966. Anna was employed with International Harvester prior to her marriage and from 1967 until 1973 Anna worked as an administrative assistant for the Lake Zurich School District. On May 19, 1973, Anna married Orville Grever at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lake Zurich, Illinois and they moved to Omro in 1978. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Omro. Anna was a Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed traveling, swimming, crossword puzzles, and going to church.

Anna is survived by children, John (Sheryl) Grever, Richard (Kim) Grever, Daniel (Barbara) Meeks, Jane (Robert) Meixner, Margaret (Richard) Meeks-Bosanko, and Mary (Daniel) Grischow; grandchildren, Matthew (Bridget) Grever, Emily Meixner, Laura (Nicholas) Roth, John Meixner, Jessica (Nathan) Held, Joseph Meixner, Rachel Grischow, Ann Grischow, John Grischow, Madisyn Grever, Heather Meeks, Shannon Meeks, Madeline Meeks; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Along with her parents and first husband Raymond, Anna was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Westman and Rosemarie Carson.

A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, July 27, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at Grace Lutheran Church, 720 Jackson Ave. Omro. A funeral service will be held on Friday at Noon at the church with Pastor Richard Bartholomew officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, July 28 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church 24500 Old McHenry Rd. Hawthorn Woods, Illinois. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Edward Blonski Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery.
