He was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend to many, Donald was a proud native of Eveleth, MN, where his Italian-American roots shaped his views on faith, family and community.
Donald earned a business administration degree from the Univ. of Minnesota and later a banking administration degree from the Univ. of Wisconsin Madison. He retired as a federal bank examiner in 2012.
He was an ardent fan and critic of Minnesota Gopher sports and a staunch follower of the Minnesota Twins. He also had a passion for golf. He served in the Army Reserve in the late 1960s.
Donald is survived by his brother, David (Suzanne); sister, Mary Weis (Greg); niece, Gabriella Ferroni Erard (Christian); and relatives in both the United States and Italy.
He was preceded in death by parents Rose and Louis.
Interment will be in Eveleth Cemetery.
