Death Claimed Aged Widow

Funeral services were conducted at the Carlson Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Emma Lockwood, widow of the late Talbert Lockwood. Mrs. Lockwood died Saturday, January 19, 1952, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Maude Daughenbaugh of Huntingdon where had had been living the past eight months.
Emma Lockwood was born in Hallton, Elk County, Pa., July 6, 1869, the daughter of Godfrey and Anna Mary (Rhodes) Parrett. On April 23, 1893 she became the bride of Talbert Lockwood also of Hallton, the ceremony was performed in Ridgway.
During their married life they lived in Hallton and in Emporium before moving to Brockwaysville in 1908. Mr. Lockwood died here in 1933.
The widow continued to live here until eight moths ago when she went to her daughter’s home. Two weeks prior to her death her condition became serious.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Maude Daughenbaugh of Huntingdon, Pa., and three sons, Sidney R., R. Pearle and Walter L. all of Brockway.
The following brothers and sisters: Peter Parrett of St. Marys, William Parrett and Charles Parrett of Hallton, Pa., John Parrett of Marienville, Pa., Mrs. Sadie Paine of Sigel and Mrs. Mary Huggler of Hallton, Pa. Also four grandchildren and two great grand-children.
Rev. Owen Shields conducted the service and burial was made in the Temple Cemetery at Hazen.
