Mrs. Bess Holden Blackwood, 85, died 27 August 1976 at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held at Coleman-Card Funeral Home chapel in Indianola with Rev. Dan Morton officiating. Burial will follow in the Indianola City Cemetery.

Mrs. Blackwood was born in French Camp and has been a resident of Indianola for the past 18 years.

Survivors include her two daughters, Mrs. Oliver Way of Indianola nd Mrs. C. T. Homeyer of Rock Hill, S. C.; two sons, Paul Blackwood of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Dellard Blackwood of Keystone Heights, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Hilda Roberts of Yazoo City; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
