He attended Stuyvesant High School. He served in the US Army during WWII, 3rd Armored Division under General Patton. Among his military awards and decorations was the Bronze Star. Following military service, he graduated from New York University. He married in 1949, and he and his wife founded Myron Manufacturing Corp, a global direct-marketing firm. The company is still family-owned and operated. In 2003, after suffering and recovering from the effects of aphasia following a stroke, he founded the Adler Aphasia Center, creating awareness of aphasia and offering support. He also served on the Board of Hackensack Hospital and the United Jewish Appeal. He and his wife also established the Adler Center for Nursing Excellence at Ramapo College and the APGF-AACN Nursing White Coat Ceremony. In 2015, he and his wife received the Outstanding Philanthropists Award from the New Jersey chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
He was survived by his wife of 66 years; three sons and their spouses; a daughter and her spouse; and 11 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel in Paramus. Interment on August 6, 2018.
