Robie, son of the late James Day and wife Ellen (Ratliff) was born April 8, 1949 in Sikeston.
He was a member of the Earl Rutz Sr. Memorial Gun & Sports Club in Cuba for 15 years serving as President four different times. He was also an Auxiliary Member at VFW Post 7147 in Cuba for approximately four years.
Robie enjoyed fishing, autobody repair and mechanics. He took flying lessons and was only a few hours short of earning his first solo flight.
Robie was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ellen Day and one sister, Brenda McTague.
He is survived by four children, Angela Pratt and significant other Shawn Buettner of Dittmer, Robert Day of Cuba, Patrick Day and wife Christine of Villa Ridge and Dennis Day and wife Dawn of Hamilton; one sister, Linda Day and husband Ric Reulet of St. Amant, LA; five grandchildren, Kourtney Pratt, Brandon Day, Brittany Day, Daniel Day and Michaela Kimker; special close friend, Wendy Coplin of Cuba; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial donations to Earl Rutz Sr. Memorial Gun & Sports Club are preferred.
