Dolores Cole Nyce, a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, doting sister and friend to all who needed one, went home to her Lord and Savior Aug. 29, 2004 in a Pennsylvania hospital. Dolores was born July 9, 1930 to the late Dolphus and Gladys Baldwin Cole in Beeson.

She went to Pennsylvania as a young woman, where she met and married her adoring husband, the late Gerald V Nyce. She had resided in Pennsburg for 34 years. An employee of the Perkiomen Preparatory School in Pennsburg, September would have marked the start of her 30th year. She was loved and honored by her Perkiomen School family, making her alumnus on the occasion of her 25th year with them. Through all those years she was someone the students could count on to help them with any problems in her power to make right, and she did this all not for glory or recognition, but because she saw a need and filled the void. She will be sorely missed.

Other than her parents and spouse, Dolores was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jerri Lynn Nyce; four brothers, Trama Cole, Weldon Cole, Donald Cole and Robert Cole; and a sister, Linda Cole.

Funeral services will be at ll a.m. Saturday at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Randolph Dishner officiating. Burial will be at the Bowling Cemetery in Spanishburg.
