Murphy Anderson Hamaker, age 75, of Little Rock, went to be with her Lord on September 20, 2005. The youngest of 13, she came into this world on March 20, 1930, the first day of spring.

She was a loving, devoted wife and mother, a dear friend to all who knew her, and faithful member of Park Place Baptist Church where she served and ministered to many lives over the past 50 years.

She gave her heart to serving the Lord and caring for her family, but managed to also be an accomplished seamstress and dedicated employee of Blue Cross-Blue Shield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin "Fate" Lafayette and Jesse Cherokee Anderson; ten brothers and sisters; one daughter Sandra Hamaker Dooley and twin grandsons, Jason and Justin Yurkovac.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lester Hamaker; children, Judy Tompkins and husband, Pete of El Dorado, Redia Dickerson and husband, Doug of Conway, Keith Hamaker and wife, Donna and Marty Hamaker and wife, Christie, all of Little Rock; eight grandchildren, Amanda Garcia, Wendy Farber and husband Jason, Jason Dickerson, Bridget Keylor and husband Josh, Tina Hayes and husband Chris, Adam Hamaker, Aaron Hamaker and Eric Hamaker; five great -grandchildren; sisters, Mary Langston of West Monroe, Louisiana and Margie Loschke of Midland, Michigan and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday at the Roller-Drummond Southwest Chapel. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday at the funeral home (501) 455-5800.
