George A. Johnson, 76, died October 5, 1976 in a Salt Lake nursing home.

Born January 27, 1900 in Colonia Diaz, Mexico to George A. and Emma Kartchner Johnson. Married Thora Gale, May 2, 1921 in Blanding, Utah. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died October 9, 1970.

Carpenter, high priest, Salt Lake 25th Ward. Filled two stake missions. High priest group leader 10 years in 35th Ward. Veteran World War I.

Survivors: 3 sons and 1 daughter; Mark Gale, Duane, G. Terry, all of Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. D. W. (Helen) Carroll of Pomona, California, 27 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Jack and Newell, both of Salt Lake City, Utah; 2 sisters: Roberta Mikesel, Salt Lake City and Elva Johnson of Roosevelt.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 noon, 25th Ward Chapel. Interment Holladay Memorial Park.
