ROOSEVELT - Elva Johnson Johnson, age 72, beloved mother and grandmother, died October 30, 1981, Duchesne County Hospital, of causes incident to age, and following a lingering illness.
Born August 3, 1909 at Pacheco, Mexico to George and Emma Jane Kartchner Johnson. Married Leonard Axel Johnson June 13, 1934 at Salt Lake City, Utah. Marriage later solemnized, Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died February 1970.
Formerly a member of the Center Ward in Salt Lake City. Served as teacher and Relief Society President. Lifelong resident of Salt Lake City, resided the past six years with her sons in Roosevelt.
Survivors: sons, Ronald L., Roosevelt; Martin D., Vernal; N. Ray, Bountiful; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, brothers, Newell Johnson and Jack Johnson, both Salt Lake City; sister, Roberta Mikesell, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary Chapel. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
