Tommy Hernandez, age 35 currently of Stratford, CT, died from injuries received when he was hit by a train. He was trying to cross the tracks when the accident happened. Tommy is the son of the late Carlos M. Hernandez and Ana L. Serrano of Stratford. He was born in Chicago, Illinois but moved to the Bridgeport area many years ago and then most recently to Stratford. He had been employed in the banking industry for many years having been employed by several local banks including Chase Bank and People's Bank. He was considered by many as such a caring soul always helping and caring for whoever he came into contact with. In addition to his mother he is also survived by his brothers Carlos Hernandez and Geraldo Figueroa both of Bridgeport; sisters, Ana Hernandez of Waterbury, Blanca Hernandez and Carmen Hernandez both of Bridgeport and Evelyn Hernandez of Stratford; three nieces Mari, Ashley, Yezenia; nine nephews Javie, Louie, Pauly, Kenny, Memito, Jacob, Elijah, Merril, Luis; with special mention of his Goddaughter Vianca Lebron and Godson Paul Burwell Jr; and many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. George Roman Catholic Church.
