Heart Attack is Fatal To Wykoff Garage Owner

FOREST HANLEY, AGE 42, DIED AT 9:30 LAST SATURDAY EVENING

Forest Hanley, 42 year-old Wykoff garage proprietor, and husband of the former Rosella Tienter of Preston, dropped dead of a heart attack at his home at 9:30 last Saturday evening. He and his wife had returned home after closing the garage for the day. They were both in the kitchen of their home and Forest had just put an armful of wood in the wood box when he fell to the floor dead. A doctor's examination revealed that death was due to coronary thrombosis.

Forest Granda Hanley was born June 26, 1903, and had made his home in Wykoff since he was 17 years old. He had been in the garage business there the past 26 years, and only two years ago moved to new garage quarters on Wykoff's Main Street just north of the Wykoff elevator. He was united in marriage on February 21, 1939 to Miss Rosella Tienter of Preston, the ceremony being performed at Hammond, Minn. by Rev. D. J. Nagel, formerly of Preston.

Besides his wife he leaves to mourn his departure five sisters, Mrs. August Zimmerman of Rochester, Mrs. Heline Anway of Hansel, Iowa, and Mrs. Clarence Baker, Mrs. William Baker, and Mrs. Herman Meyer of Wykoff, also two brothers, George and Charles Hanley of Chatfield. All have our most sincere sympathy.

Funeral services were held at on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the home and at 1:30 from the Wykoff Methodist Church, Rev. F. W. Kain officiating. He was laid to rest in the Chatfield cemetery where his parents, and his twin sister, who died in infancy, are also buried.

Relatives and friends from here who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Tienter, sons of Leland and Kenneth Wayne, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tienter, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jacobson and Donald, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Nagel, Miss Ella Sommer, Mrs. F. A. McNiff, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Riehl and Floyd Riehl.

Mrs. Hanley's sister Mrs. Earl Alderman of Milwaukee and husband, and her brother Alvin Tienter and wife of Lebanon, Pa., arrived here Monday night and went directly to the Hanley home.
