Verna Fay Booth, nee
Corrington, the daughter of
Henry and Anna Frei
Corrington, was born in Cherokee
on Dec 16, 1895. She passed away
at Cherokee on Sept. 11, 1972, at
the age of 76.

She was educated in the
country schools near her
childhood home.

On March 30,
1920, she was united in marriage
to George Booth at Sioux City.
The couple made their home in
Cherokee and Buena Vista
counties until moving into
Peterson to retire in 1959. She
remained active in community
affairs, and was a member of the
United Methodist church and its
Ladies Aid, the Happy Hour Club
and Peterson Civic Club.

Preceding her in death were
her parents, one son Clair, four
brothers and two sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are
her husband, four sons, Donald of
Long Beach. Calif , Douglas
William of Farpo, ND, Dale of
Sioux Falls. SD, and Richard of
Peterson, three daughters,
Mrs. Steward (Helen) Daly of
Kingsley, Mrs. William
Patricia) Jensen of Battle
Creek, and Betty Booth of
Schaller, 17 grandchildren, three
great-grandchildren, two sisters,
Mrs. Daisy Pennington of
Peterson, Mrs Gertrude Martin
of Garden Grove, Calif, other
relatives and many friends.
