Mrs.Elsie Haight 75, a resident of Alta the past eight years died Tuesday at 11:15 a.m. in Alta hospital following a three month illness. Her home was at 210 Lake Street Alta Formerly she had lived on a farm in Elk Township. Buena Vista County She was born April 4. 1892 in Cherokee County and was married to Howard G Haight on April 4 1916 near Cherokee. Her husband preceded her in death on Oct 26. 1963, also preceding her in death were five infants, four brothers and one sister. Mrs Haight was a member of First Methodist Church at Alta, Alta Order of the Eastern Star and Pythian Sisters of the Aurelia Temple. Survivors are two sons Henry and Murlan Haight both of Aurelia. four daughters. Miss Elsie Mae Haight of Everett Wash, Mrs Jeanne Farquhar of Villa Park Ill.. Mrs Alice Discher of Alta and Mrs Rose Ell Subvert of Dodge Center, Minn., also 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren Three sisters. Mrs Daisv Pennington of Peterson la . Mrs. Gertrude Martin, Garden Grove Calif, Mrs Verna Booth Peterson are other survivors.
