RAVENNA - Marie B. Cartwright, age 96 of Ravenna, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018, at her daughter’s home in Wilmington, North Carolina.
She was born May 18, 1922, in Crescent, Pennsylvania, to parents George and Dorothy (Briggs) Beers. Marie was a devoted homemaker and attended the Ravenna Church of the Nazarene, where she was a member of the Bandage Rollers. She also volunteered at Robinson Memorial Hospital.
Marie is survived by her children: Ted (Colleen), Jim, Pat Heath, Tom, Cindy Poole, Lyle, Debbie, and her daughter-in-law Betty Cartwright; as well as many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband Ted, her sons Larry and George, her son-in-law Robert Heath, and her grandson Kevin Gatchel.
Per her wishes a private graveside service was held at Maple Grove Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to a charity of your choice in her honor.
